Cobay lagoon

Lagoon near Wilberforce on the Hawkesbury River (Dyarubbin) that is identified in McGarvie's 1829 list of Darug and Darkinyung names for places along the river. The word 'cobay' meant ‘arm’ and the lagoon is crooked like an arm, and was once an arm of the river.
